Malcolm and Friends

A good friend of mine held a private concert as a going away gift to his friends last night. Malcolm Lucard is a well-known folk musician in Colorado Springs and he is leaving for Switzerland. His wife Andrea recently accepted a position there and they are packing up, taking their two boys and heading for Europe at the end of the month. Malcolm played with a host of his musician friends at a private venue in town. I'm not supposed to say where it's at or what it's called. But the photos should give it away. It's one of the coolest secret hangouts for musicians and music lovers in Colorado Springs. My wife and I have known Malcolm and Andrea since we moved to the Springs in 1999. We will miss them. Malcolm is also a journalist and we've pounded the pavement working on stories and we've taught journalism together.
