A blast from the past
I am working on a redesign of our web site and that requires me to revisit many weddings from years past. It's hard not to get nostalgic when I see these photographs of couples and their weddings. I thought I might share
some of them here. The image at the top is a picture from my cousin's wedding. Kolby's new wife Kathy was waiting to be photographed by the photographer they hired (I was a guest) and I captured this. This was one of the first weddings I ever photographed, using film no less. And this picture has always been close to my heart. While many of the prints in our presentation area are regularly replaced, this one has stood the test of time and also gets quite a reaction from our clients. We are regularly requested to duplicate this picture and I have to politely explain that a genuine moment is exactly that, genuine:) At left is an image from Dave and Jen's wedding. Dave is one of my best friends from college. This was made in my second year
of photographing weddings professionally and I love this picture for reasons that are again both personal and professional. Above is an image from Columbine and Brad's wedding. Cathy and I photographed their wedding together and Columbine is one of Cathy's dearest friends. Columbine and Brad love their bicycles and I thought this was about as neat a getaway as I had ever seen. Click here to see a slide show of a small sampling of images from weddings I revisited. — SeanLabels: Sean's Weddings
