Lee's 90th Birthday Party

My godfather Lee celebrated his 90th birthday on Friday. Phil, one of his closest friends, hosted a party for him and invited a few other friends and neighbors. Just to give you some idea of lasting friendship, most of them have been friends longer than I've been alive. Uta, Lee's next door neighbor for many years, brought a necklace of pennies each representing one year of his life. She read a poem to Lee that said in part: "With much luck you are still on your way. More coins will be added to your chain as more life experience you will gain. May the coming years like bright stars shine, this is a sincere wish of mine!" Happy Birthday Lee! — Sean
