Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy Wedding (Sneak Peek)

Angie and Chris were married at the Air Force Academy Chapel on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009. They celebrated with a reception at Doolittle Hall. You might remember Angie and Chris from their dramatic Washington DC engagement sitting here. Angie and Chris love the mountains and the Garden of the Gods. So, we arranged a private moment for them at the park before their ceremony. I love this shot of Chris seeing Angie for the first time. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie helped Angie and Chris plan their destination wedding. Jean-Marie Floral Designs did an incredible job with the flowers and ddg Classics provided a beautiful Rolls Royce for them to depart in. Aimee and Brian's Air Force Academy Chapel wedding (a sneak peek)

Aimee and Brian were married Friday, May 15 at the Air Force Academy Chapel and celebrated with a reception at Phantom Canyon Brewery. Aimee and Brian are both in the Air Force, and since Aimee works at the Academy (and she has the access!) we were able to walk to Terrazzo and photograph everyone on Spirit Hill. Aimee planned to have a lot of time for photos at the chapel and Garden of the Gods. This was my first AFA Chapel wedding of the year and it was a blast! I just love to photograph there. Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Wedding

I posted a sneak peak of Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Chapel wedding here. Shannon and Peter scheduled their ceremony in the early afternoon. I love that they planned it that way. We had an hour before their reception at the Garden of the Gods Club so we drove to the Garden of the Gods park for photographs. We arrived at the club just in time for a cocktail hour at sunset and dinner outside on the Garden Terrace. Shannon and Peter met in high school. While at the Air Force Academy Peter was a cadet falconer. So he arranged for a picture opportunity with a cadet and his falcon Banjo. Click here to see a brief slide show of their wedding day. Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

I photographed Shannon and Peter's wedding Saturday at the Air Force Academy. It's hard to imagine that your wedding day can hinge on a hook. But that's what happened yesterday for Shannon when the hook on her dress broke. Still, Shannon made it to the church on time and found a needle and thread that saved the day. Shannon and Peter celebrated with an evening reception at the Garden of the Gods Club for their close family and friends. Despite the dress mishap (which made for a wonderful picture and an unforgettable memory:) Shannon and Peter had a fantastic wedding. Stay tuned for a slide show of their wedding day soon. Leah and Ryan's Coffee Table Books

Leah and Ryan's coffee table books arrived yesterday and we're thrilled yet again! The books are beautiful. They all came with a lovely
black slipcover. The cover image of Leah and Ryan atop a rock at the Garden of the Gods is stunnning. Leah and Ryan purchased two duplicate albums and I know they will be a wonderful gift to their parents. The book has linen pages that are laminated for protection. And Leah and Ryan picked some really wonderful images for display. I can't wait for them to see their books! — Sean

Brittany and Brandon's Air Force Academy Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Brittany and Brandon's wedding here. I couldn't have had a better couple to cap the year. Brandon courted Brittany when he was a cadet at the Air Force Academy. Now he's training to be a pilot. Theirs was a wintery wedding. Brittany arrived at the Chapel beforehand and saw Brandon outside in the Honor Court. The sun had dropped behind the mountains and a strong wind was blowing. Together they braved the elements. After the ceremony we made a dramatic portrait outside the chapel. The temperature had really dropped and no one needed to hold Brittany's veil. The wind did that:) But even then, Brittany and Brandon didn't bat an eye. Afterwards, I told Brittany that she is the bravest bride I've ever met! Click here to see a brief slide show of their day. Brittany and Brandon's Air Force Academy Wedding (A Sneak Peak)

Brittany and Brandon were married last Saturday at the Air Force Academy Chapel. They scheduled an early evening wedding at the Chapel and decided to see each other in the Honor Court before the wedding. A cold wind was blowing that day, so Brandon gave Brittany his coat while they waited near Harmon Hall for the wedding party to arrive. (We wanted to do a quick outside picture of everyone) Brittany and Brandon's reception was held at Doolittle Hall, a beautiful building operated by the Air Force Academy's association of graduates. Near the end of the reception, Brittany shared an emotional moment with her sister. Stay tuned for a slideshow of their wintery wedding day soon! — Sean

Leah and Ryan's Air Force Academy Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Leah and Ryan's wedding here. We had incredible weather for a wedding in November and I was so happy to be able to photograph as much as we did outside. One thing that made Leah and Ryan's wedding so special is that they're both pilots. They love to fly. And after their reception at the Garden of the Gods Club I photographed them at sunset. I arranged for them to be in a spot that looks like they are standing in the sky. And they were instantly captured by the view; in their own world, oblivious to me. It was like they were flying, Ryan explained. It's what they see every time they're in the air. I left them alone to enjoy the fading sunset and I as I drove away I watched them embrace. On Saturday I photographed Leah and Ryan's wedding at the Air Force Academy Chapel. They hosted an afternoon reception at the Garden of the Gods Club to celebrate their wedding. And then, to top it off, Leah and Ryan finished their wedding day with an incredible sunset portrait session at the Garden of the Gods. (I know what you're thinking. Yes, those colors are real:) The weather for a November wedding couldn't have been more perfect. It was an off-the-charts, gorgeous day. Stay tuned for a slideshow of their wedding. We don't have any photographs on our web site of weddings from the Air Force Academy Chapel, so I thought I would post a couple along with a slideshow.
