Marissa and Josh's Coffee Table Books

I photographed Marissa and Joshua's Air Force Academy wedding in June and we just finished up their coffee table books. They decided on a three-volume set with one master and two duplicate parent books. The books look fantastic and I'm so pleased with how they turned out. Marissa and Joshua wanted quite a few photographs in their book and the book's design accommodates them all well. The book comes with a black slipcover. The linen pages are also laminated for extra protection. I loved their wedding day. Their ceremony at the Air Force Academy Chapel was just beautiful, their portrait session was romantic and their reception was filled with emotion. Click here to see their wedding day slide show. I can't wait for them to see their books! – Sean

Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy Wedding

Angie and Chris were married at the Air Force Academy Chapel Friday, October 16, 2009. Their reception was held at Dootlittle Hall on the Academy grounds. I posted a sneak peak of their wedding here. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie helped Angie and Chris plan their destination wedding and Jean-Marie Floral Designs did an incredible job with Angie's bouquet. Angie and Chris wanted to make sure the mountains were well represented in their portfolio, so they decided to see each other before their ceremony. During a private moment at the Garden of the Gods I made this wonderful image (above). I had a wonderful time photographing Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy wedding. Click here to see a brief slideshow of their wedding. Thank you Angie and Chris for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! — Sean

Ashley & Jaret's Coffee Table Book

We just received Ashley and Jaret's Coffee Table Book in the mail and it looks wonderful! Ashley and Jaret were married Saturday June 27, 2009 at the Air Force Academy. Their reception was held at Dootlittle Hall. Ashely and Jaret decided on our coffee table book with linen pages and a black slipcover with silver type. I love their image selection! There's a beautiful love story and some fantastic portraits. The cover of their album is a lot of fun. And while there are a lot of images in their book, it doesn't feel crowded. Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy Wedding (Sneak Peek)

Angie and Chris were married at the Air Force Academy Chapel on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009. They celebrated with a reception at Doolittle Hall. You might remember Angie and Chris from their dramatic Washington DC engagement sitting here. Angie and Chris love the mountains and the Garden of the Gods. So, we arranged a private moment for them at the park before their ceremony. I love this shot of Chris seeing Angie for the first time. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie helped Angie and Chris plan their destination wedding. Jean-Marie Floral Designs did an incredible job with the flowers and ddg Classics provided a beautiful Rolls Royce for them to depart in. Be sure to stay tuned for a slide show of Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy wedding soon! — Sean

Ashley & Jaret's Air Force Academy Wedding

You may remember Ashley and Jaret from the sneak peek I posted here. They were married at the Cadet Chapel at the Air Force Academy on Saturday, June 27.Their wedding day started out hot and sunny, but we knew (based on the rehearsal the day before) that a thunderstorm was coming. Just as we were finishing up photos inside the chapel the rain came down and the wind picked up…no matter. We headed straight to the reception to enjoy cocktails with their guests and we waited for the skies to clear. Once the storm passed we enjoyed the rainbows and portraits around Doolittle Hall, including some photos on the stone bridge nearby. One of my favorite photos from their reception is this one from the first dance. It's not very often I get to photograph a couple dancing in sunlight! Thank you Ashley and Jaret for inviting me to photograph your day! To see a brief slide show of their wedding click here. — Cathy

Ashley and Jaret's Air Force Academy Wedding (Sneak Peek)

Meet Ashley and Jaret, our most recent Air Force Academy wedding couple. They were married June 27 in the Cadet Chapel. They hosted dinner for their close friends and family at Doolittle Hall, located on the Air Force Academy grounds. Jaret graduated from the Academy and when they decided to have their wedding there last year little did they know that it would be just a short stop-over on their way from St. Louis, MO to their new life and new house (they closed only days before the wedding!) in California. Ashley and Jaret's gift to their guests, a bird nest with robin's-egg blue candied almonds and a love bird cake-topper, gave the theme of their wedding away. But Ashley and Jaret were themselves a couple of love birds! Watch for a slide show of their wedding coming soon! —Cathy

Marissa and Josh's Air Force Academy Wedding

Marissa and Josh were married June 13, 2009 at the Air Force Academy Chapel. I posted a sneak peek of their wedding here. When I arrived at Marissa's suite at the Mariott Hotel and saw her wedding dress for the first time I knew she was going to look good in it. But Marissa and Josh looked even better together. The Air Force Academy Chapel is a wonderful place to photograph a wedding. One must be careful though to concentrate not on the architecture, but on the moments. Happily for me there was a lot of love to be photographed on Marissa and Josh's wedding day. Click here to see a brief slide show of Marissa and Josh's wedding day and thanks so much Marissa and Josh. I had a fantastic time photographing your wedding and getting to know your families! — Sean

Marissa and Josh's Air Force Academy Wedding (Sneak Peek)

You might remember Marissa and Joshua from their engagement sitting here. On Saturday they were married at the Air Force Academy Chapel. Marissa and Joshua planned their destination wedding from London where Josh is stationed. The weather was a lot better than the last time I saw them in December and probably better than London this time of year too:) And wow... what a dress! Stay tuned for a slide show of Marissa and Josh's Air Force Academy wedding soon! — Sean

Aimee and Brian's Air Force Academy Chapel Wedding

Meet Aimee and Brian, I posted a sneak peek of their wedding here. They were married Friday, May 15 at the Air Force Academy Chapel with a reception on the third floor at Phantom Canyon. Their wedding was my first at the Air Force Academy this year. We had good weather that day and Aimee set aside time for photographs, so I knew we would have some good photo ops. Little did I know how good! All afternoon before the wedding there were helicopters circling the campus…buzzing overhead as we photographed the Brian and his groomsmen before the ceremony. And they were circling overhead right as Aimee entered the chapel. Aimee and Brian did not see each other before the ceremony and I thought we wouldn't get the two them together with the helicopter above. But Aimee scheduled time to photograph on Spirit Hill and we just finished photographing the wedding party when I heard the helicopter coming around again. Aimee and Brian were ready for the moment and I was able to get three pictures before it was gone. I couldn't have asked for a better day and a better couple. Click here to see a slide show of Aimee and Brian's Air Force Academy Wedding. Thank you Aimee and Brian for inviting me photograph your wedding! — Cathy

Aimee and Brian's Air Force Academy Chapel wedding (a sneak peek)

Aimee and Brian were married Friday, May 15 at the Air Force Academy Chapel and celebrated with a reception at Phantom Canyon Brewery. Aimee and Brian are both in the Air Force, and since Aimee works at the Academy (and she has the access!) we were able to walk to Terrazzo and photograph everyone on Spirit Hill. Aimee planned to have a lot of time for photos at the chapel and Garden of the Gods. This was my first AFA Chapel wedding of the year and it was a blast! I just love to photograph there. The wind was blowing and the sun was shining… a perfect day for a wedding! Keep watch for a slide show from their wedding coming soon! —Cathy

Shannon and Peter's Coffee Table Book

I've written here before about Shannon and Peter's wedding and it seems I'm doing it again. Peter's parents John and Cathygot their coffee table book first and Shannon and Peter's coffee table book comes in a close second. We've finished it and it's onits way to them. I'm thrilled with their book as I am thrilled with everything about their wedding. The editors at The Knotalso felt the same way and wrote about their wedding here. Shannon and Peter were married during an incredible morningceremony at the Air Force Academy Chapel. Afterwards, we joined their guests for a sunset reception on the sunrise terraceat the Garden of the Gods Club. If you didn't see their wedding slide show click here. I can't wait for them to see their book! - Sean

Shannon and Peter's wedding on newsstands now!

Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy wedding last May was really quite something and the editors at The Knot thought so too. The Knot Colorado is featuring Shannon and Peter's wedding in their 2009 Spring/Summer issue. I've posted spreads from the magazine here. The magazine will be out newsstands soon. Shannon and Peter were married at the Air Force Academy Chapel and celebrated with an evening reception at the Garden of the Gods Club. For me, what made their wedding day was how much fun they had. Cathy and John's wonderful thank you note

Cathy and John ordered a Coffee Table Book from Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Wedding and I received this note from them after they received their book:

Dear Sean,
Both John and I want to thank you and your staff for capturing our son's wedding day in such a creative manner. Your skills were demonstrated by your attention to detail and unobtrusive presence throughout the festivities. Your photography will forever bring us back to experience this special occasion. Our album has been shown often to friends and family. The comment we repeatedly hear is how professional and artistic the pictures are. As most of the planning was done through e-mails and long-distance communication, we appreciate the ease with which your staff handled our requests. Thank you again for making this event so special to so many. — Cathy and John
