Marissa and Josh's Coffee Table Books

I photographed Marissa and Joshua's Air Force Academy wedding in June and we just finished up their coffee table books. They decided on a three-volume set with one master and two duplicate parent books. The books look fantastic and I'm so pleased with how they turned out. Marissa and Joshua wanted quite a few photographs in their book and the book's design accommodates them all well. The book comes with a black slipcover. The linen pages are also laminated for extra protection. I loved their wedding day. Their ceremony at the Air Force Academy Chapel was just beautiful, their portrait session was romantic and their reception was filled with emotion. Click here to see their wedding day slide show. I can't wait for them to see their books! – Sean

Natalie and Bill's Coffee Table Book

We just received Natalie and Bill's Coffee Table Wedding Book in the mail and it looks terrific! Natalie and Bill added 10 pages to their 20-page book to accommodate all of their picture selections. The book comes with a black slipcover, a book jacket and laminated linen pages. Natalie and Bill were married at First Christian Church in downtown Colorado Springs Saturday, July 25, 2009. Their wedding reception was held at the Norris-Penrose Event Center. Their wedding had a decidely Western theme which was very cool. I love how their book turned out. The extra pages allows more room for their pictures so it's not too crowded. They have some lovely portraits throughout at the same time it nicely tells the story of their wedding day. Click here to see a slide show of their wedding day. I can't wait for Natalie and Bill to see the book! — Cathy

Amelia and Austin were married Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the First Congregational Church. This was our first wedding of 2010 and our associate Brienne photographed the wedding. Amelia and Austin decided to see each other before the wedding and traveled to the Garden of the Gods to make some portraits. Despite inclement weather Amelia and Austin looked like they had great fun with Brienne. After their wedding Amelia and Austin celebrated with a reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery. Tara and Aaron's Colorado Springs Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Tara and Aaron's Colorado Springs wedding here. Tara and Aaron were married Friday, September 4, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in downtown Colorado Springs. Our associate photographer Brienne photographed their wedding. St. Mary's has a beautiful sanctuary and Brienne made this gorgeous shot (left) during their wedding ceremony. Afterwards Tara and Aaron celebrated with a reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery across the street from the church. I've said this before, but Phantom Canyon's third floor banquet hall has to be the best place in town for a party. Click here to see a brief slide show of Tara and Aaron's wedding day. Thank you Tara and Aaron inviting us to photograph your wedding! — Sean

Destination wedding itinerary - Colorado Springs style

Last week I finished a destination wedding Colorado Springs style. The couple asked me to refrain from showing any images of their wedding until after two hometown receptions are held. Still, it was an incredible three-day wedding itinerary and I was invited to photograph it completely! On the first day, the wedding guests traveled to the Arkansas river for a rafting trip with Echo Canyon River Expeditions. A BBQ on the Broadmoor's north lawn followed the rafting trip. On the second day, guests traveled to the top of Pikes Peak via the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. That was followed by a private tour of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and a catered dinner after closing time. On the wedding day a small, intimate ceremony was held at Pauline Chapel followed by a lunch reception at the Mountain View Terrace. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie planned the affair. Stay tuned for more images from this wedding after the receptions! — Sean

Colleen and Stu's Colorado Springs School Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Colleen and Stu's Colorado Springs School wedding here. Colleen and Stu were married at the Colorado Springs School on June 13, 2009. All day Colleen and Stu were glowing and their energy was contagious! Colleen and Stuart decided to see each other during a private moment before their wedding. I loved this dramatic shot (above) of them embracing before the start of the day. They had a lot of special touches and, despite the rain, Colleen and Stu managed to hold their ceremony outside on the lawn. Click here to see a brief slide show from their wedding. Thank you Colleen and Stu for inviting me to be a part of your wonderful day! – Cathy

Best of Weddings 2008

I've finally gotten around to editing a selection of wedding photographs from 2008. I call it the Best of 2008 but that really isn't true. It's a sampling of the best images and I can't fit all of the the images I wanted into the slide show. This by no means does justice to all of our wedding couples but I did want to try and show a year's worth of incredible weddings in one slide show. The portfolios we create for our weddings couples are true love stories and our photographer's are grateful to be the storytellers. Click here to see a slide show featuring many wonderful couples who are (quite naturally) head over heels in love! — Sean

Stephanie and Jeff's Shove Chapel Wedding

Stephanie and Jeff were married Saturday, February 7 at Shove Chapel on the Colorado College Campus followed by a reception on the third floor at Phantom Canyon Brewery. I've been excited for their wedding for months. We had such a great engagement session with them in October, so I knew the wedding would be a blast. We planned to photograph in a lot of different settings…the hotel, overlooking the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak and in and around the church. I was glad we had made the time for those photos. But I'm also glad Stephanie told me to watch for Jeff's smile. She said, 'I love his smile'. After following the two of them through their wedding day, I found the smile she was talking about. Thank you Stephanie and Jeff for allowing me to capture all the special moments of your wedding, there were many! Click here to see a slide show of their day. — Cathy

Erica's Bridal Portrait

A few weeks back I photographed Erica and Bryan's engagement sitting. You can see those pictures here. The next day we did Erica's bridal portrait. It was super fun and the images are out of this world! Iasked Erica for permission to post these. A big thanks to Erica's parents Pamela and Mark and her brother Aaron for helping me with the shoot. You can see a little behind the scenes of Erica's bridal portrait in this second picture. Pamela and Aaron helped me light Erica with this dramatic sunset as a backdrop. — Sean
