Ashley and Chris' Wedding at The Nature Place

Ashley and Chris were married at The Nature Place in Florissant, Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. I posted a sneak peek of their wedding here. Ashley and Chris' wedding ceremony began on a butte with views of Pikes Peak, but a rain storm quickly moved in and the ceremony moved into the lodge. As a photographer a change in plans can be very fortunate indeed. A story unfolds. Real moments are everywhere! Still, because Ashley and Chris saw each other before their wedding, we made some fabulous portraits with the mountaintop views. And when the rain came, Tricia with Finesse Events took charge. Ashley and Chris' Wedding at The Nature Place (Sneak Peek)

Ashley and Chris were married at The Nature Place in Florissant, Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. They chose this unique location because they both love the mountains and as a girl Ashley also attended summer camp here. Ashley and Chris are graduates of Colorado College and live in Denver. But for most of their guests, this was a destination wedding. Unfortunately rain cancelled the outdoor ceremony with views of Pikes Peak, but that didn't dampen their spirits. It was an incredible day in a beautiful place. I love this intimate moment (above) of Ashley and Chris waiting for the rain to stop. Tricia with Finesse Events did a super job planning the wedding day and managing the change in venue. The afternoon rains quickly disappeared and I caught this dramatic photograph of a full moon over the reception tent below. The tent was courtesy of Event Rents in Denver. Asiana Wedding magazine features Gina and Ajay's Snowmountain Ranch Wedding

I just received a copy of Asiana Wedding, the world's biggest wedding magazine distributed from England. The editors (who are always on the lookout for incredible multi-cultural events) sawGina and Ajay's Snowmountain Ranch Wedding and decided on a four-page spread of this fantastic affair! The layout featured 19 images from Gina and Ajay's wedding. One thing that made Gina and Ajay's wedding so special was their decision to hold two ceremonies, one Hindu and another non-denominational ceremony the following day. It was Gina and Ajay's desire to celebrate the best of both worlds with a destination wedding in the Rocky Mountains. It turned into a four-day affair with guests flying in from all over the world. I was tickled to read Gina's interview. Here's what she said about the photography "Sean was absolutely incredible. He was fun, engaging, professional and artistic. Gina and Ajay's Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Gina and Ajay's Snow Mountain Ranch wedding here. Gina and Ajay were married Saturday, August 30 in a Hindu ceremony and on Sunday they were married in a western ceremony. Every year I photograph a handful of weddings that involve a mix of cultures and traditions. Gina and Ajay's wedding weekend was about the best I've seen when it comes to blending two cultural and religious traditions. They hosted events over a four-day period which started with a Mehndi party at the Bombay Bistro in Boulder on Thursday. Gina and Ajay's Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Last weekend I photographed Gina and Ajay's wedding at Snow Mountain Ranch. Over the course of the weekend Gina and Ajay were married twice. On Saturday they held a traditional Hindu ceremony. On Sunday morning they held a western ceremony at Columbine Point. Gina traded her shawl for a white wedding gown while Ajay turned in his slippers for converse sneakers:) Being faithful to both cultures and traditions was important to Gina and Ajay. They were careful not to overdo it though. By spacing the ceremonies and events over two days their friends and families were able take it all in. Jamie of Finesse Events did a masterful job coordinating the schedule and Wild Horse Catering prepared an Italian dinner Friday and a traditional Indian dinner Saturday.
