Beth and Joel's Colorado Springs Engagement

I photographed Beth and Joel's engagement sitting on Thursday. We had a time of it trying to schedule something, but when Thursday came around it was perfect. Perfect couple, perfect location, perfect weather. Beth and Joel are planning a May wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie is helping to coordinate their wedding day. I'm super excited. We hung out at the Trolly Museum (yes, Colorado Springs has a Trolley Museum) and then we headed to the Garden of the Gods for some mountain pictures at sunset. Click here to see a brief slide show of their engagement sitting. Be sure to check out the photo that Joel made of me. That one's on Facebook for sure:) Thanks Joel! — Sean

Cathy and John's wonderful thank you note

Cathy and John ordered a Coffee Table Book from Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Wedding and I received this note from them after they received their book:

Dear Sean,
Both John and I want to thank you and your staff for capturing our son's wedding day in such a creative manner. Your skills were demonstrated by your attention to detail and unobtrusive presence throughout the festivities. Your photography will forever bring us back to experience this special occasion. Our album has been shown often to friends and family. The comment we repeatedly hear is how professional and artistic the pictures are. As most of the planning was done through e-mails and long-distance communication, we appreciate the ease with which your staff handled our requests. Thank you again for making this event so special to so many. — Cathy and John

Amy and Adam's Garden of the Gods Club Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Amy and Adam's wedding here. Amy and Adam were married Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Garden of the Gods Club. Amy and Adam couldn't have had a more perfect wedding day. They decided on a morning ceremony, which I absolutely love. Amy and Adam didn't see each other before their wedding, but they did the next best thing and made time for bride and groom pictures after their reception. I can't show you all of the fantastic pictures that we made after their wedding, but I will tell you that we made a lot of fantastic pictures! And we romped all over Colorado Springs to do it. Click here to see a brief slide show of their wedding. Thanks Amy and Adam for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! — Sean

Christi and Craig's Garden of the Gods Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Christi and Craig's wedding here. Christi and Craig planned a destination wedding with help from Emily of Bella Design and Planning. They were intent on making their wedding weekend relaxed and fun for everyone. Christi and Craig were married at sunset with an awesome view of Pikes Peak. The local wildlife even made an appearance after the ceremony. Apparently, rose petals are good eating:) Christi and Craig didn't want a formal photography session. They wanted something more genuine, so they opted for photo booth where guests could take their own pictures. It was a big hit. Click here to see a slide show of their wedding day. Thanks Christi and Craig! We had so much fun. I can't wait for you to see all of your wedding photographs! — Sean

Christi and Craig's Garden of the Gods Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

It has been a perfect couple of days and one of the nicest Memorial Day weekends in Colorado Springs that I can remember. Yesterday, I photographed Christi and Craig's wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club. This is the first year that the Club has allowed ceremonies out by the reflecting pool. The walk with Dad is wonderfully timed. Not too long, not too short. Christi and Craig's wedding day began at the pool. I found the two enjoying lunch with friends. They were very intent on making this a day to remember and not one to worry about. They succeeded:) Emily of Bella Design and Planning coordinated the day. Stay tuned for slide show from their wedding soon! — Sean

Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

I photographed Shannon and Peter's wedding Saturday at the Air Force Academy. It's hard to imagine that your wedding day can hinge on a hook. But that's what happened yesterday for Shannon when the hook on her dress broke. Still, Shannon made it to the church on time and found a needle and thread that saved the day. Shannon and Peter celebrated with an evening reception at the Garden of the Gods Club for their close family and friends. Despite the dress mishap (which made for a wonderful picture and an unforgettable memory:) Shannon and Peter had a fantastic wedding. Stay tuned for a slide show of their wedding day soon. And thanks Shannon and Peter! I had so much fun spending time with you! – Sean

Gina and Mike's Fine Art Wedding Book

Gina and Mike wanted a Fine Art Wedding Book and we're adding the finishing touches to it. Like Cindy and Dave's Fine Art Wedding Book, it's just gorgeous. Many of our couples have finished their selections for their wedding albums so we've got two more Fine Art Wedding Booksthat we will show you very soon. It seems like this book is everyone's favorite hands down. What appeals to a lot our couples I think isthe selection of mat colors and cover materials. Gina decided on a gold keyline around her wedding images and I think it really pops. And let's not get started on the selection of cover materials. I know I've mentioned it before, but it's nearly limitless. The favorite for most of our couples, though, is the genuine leather.

Jennifer and Mathew's Wedding

Jennifer and Mathew were married at St. Paul Catholic Church and hosted their reception in the Lake Terrace Dining Room at the Broadmoor Hotel. Their wedding was mix of two traditions. Mathew's family is from India and Jen's family is from Poland. They decided on the Broadmoor Hotel because Colorado Springs is where Jennifer grew up. Their wedding was planned as a weekend affair with events that included a rehearsal dinner at the Garden of the Gods Club and a brunch at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. It was a really wonderful weekend. Events were coordinated by Maggie Moran of Celebrations by Maggie and flowers were provided by the Design Works. Jennifer and Mathew were fantastic. Their sense of style and family tradition made their wedding fun and unique to them. Click here to see a brief slideshow of their wedding weekend. — Sean

Rehearsal Dinner - Garden of the Gods Club

I promised earlier to post some photographs from Jennifer and Mathew's wedding. Friday, the day before their wedding at the Broadmoor Hotel, Jennifer and Mathew held a rehearsal dinner at the Garden of the Gods Club. Mathew's family is from India and the rehearsal dinner was in keeping with Indian traditions. Jennifer wore a beautiful red Saree and Mathew wore a gold embroidered tunic to match. They made for a very handsome couple. At sunset they enjoyed Mango martinis outside on the lawn with their guests. Tomorrow I will show some wedding day images. — Sean

Toffee and Jake's Engagement

Toffee and Jake had never been to Colorado Springs but after seeing the mountains they knew that the Broadmoor would be the perfect place for their destination wedding. I photographed their engagement sitting during their planning weekend with Maggie Moran of Celebrations by Maggie. We started at the Garden of the Gods Club, the site of their rehearsal dinner, and ended in the Garden of the Gods below for some relaxed rock climbing. There's nothing more 'Colorado' than the views of Pikes Peak dusted with snow :) We had a great time and I'm really looking forward to their wedding in June!
