Heather and Dale's Coffee Table Books

Heather and Dale's Coffee Table Books arrived in the mail yesterday and they look fantastic! Heather and Dale were married last fall at the Broadmoor Hotel. They had a beautiful wedding and their one-year anniversary is only a few days away! (Septemeber 27 is THE best date of the year for a wedding. Cathy and I know this because we were also married on Sept. 27th:) Heather and Dale decided on a three-volume set of books, with one master and two smaller duplicate books, one for each set of parents. They were very careful in their selection of pictures and have a nice selection of both color and black and white images that complement each part of their wedding day. We also went through multiple rounds of changes to the design and because of the care and thought that went into their books, the presentation of their wedding day photographs is quite beautiful. Heather and Dale's Broadmoor Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Heather and Dale's Broadmoor wedding here. Heather and Dale were married Saturday, September 27, 2008. This is a great day to be married. I know because it's also our own wedding anniversary:) Heather and Dale had a fabulous mountain wedding and dinner reception at the Cheyenne Lodge next to the Broadmoor's mountain course. I love this location. It has incredible views, a very cool terrace for outdoor ceremonies and the lodge is private. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie helped Heather and Dale plan their wedding. We made some spectacular photographs. I love this shot of Heather and her dad walking down the aisle. This picture of Heather and Dale at sunset is also wonderful. Heather and Dale's Broadmoor Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

You might remember Heather and Dale from their engagement sitting here. I photographed their wedding at the Broadmoor Hotel's Cheyenne Lodge on Saturday. Heather and Dale decided to see each other before the wedding and we found some wonderful color by the lake. I used a fish eye lens to make this dramatic picture of Heather and Dale (above). Heather and Dale's ceremony was beautiful. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie helped plan their day which also included a late night snack of smores and wine outside on the patio. (Nobody anticipated a run on the chocolate, except for Maggie who was ready with reserves:) Stay tuned for a slide show of Heather and Dale's wedding soon! — Sean

Heather and Dale's Engagement Sitting

I photographed Heather and Dale's engagement sitting yesterday afternoon. Heather and Dale are planning a fall wedding at the Broadmoor. Heather grew up in a house just a couple of blocks from mine and she wanted to make some pictures on the swing in her yard. It was a challenge to keep their labs entertained while we photographed, but we managed:) Afterwards we headed to the Garden of the Gods and then over to Rockledge Ranch. This weekend was a nice reprieve for both. They are busy finishing up med school and preparing for their residencies. Click here to see a brief slide show of their engagement.
