Gina and Ajay's Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Gina and Ajay's Snow Mountain Ranch wedding here. Gina and Ajay were married Saturday, August 30 in a Hindu ceremony and on Sunday they were married in a western ceremony. Every year I photograph a handful of weddings that involve a mix of cultures and traditions. Gina and Ajay's wedding weekend was about the best I've seen when it comes to blending two cultural and religious traditions. They hosted events over a four-day period which started with a Mehndi party at the Bombay Bistro in Boulder on Thursday. Jamie with Finesse Events helped to plan and to pull off their wedding weekend in grand style. Click here to see a brief (as brief as I could make it:) slide show of their wedding weekend. Thank you Gina and Ajay for inviting me to be a part of your wedding! — Sean.

Gina and Ajay's Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Last weekend I photographed Gina and Ajay's wedding at Snow Mountain Ranch. Over the course of the weekend Gina and Ajay were married twice. On Saturday they held a traditional Hindu ceremony. On Sunday morning they held a western ceremony at Columbine Point. Gina traded her shawl for a white wedding gown while Ajay turned in his slippers for converse sneakers:) Being faithful to both cultures and traditions was important to Gina and Ajay. They were careful not to overdo it though. By spacing the ceremonies and events over two days their friends and families were able take it all in. Jamie of Finesse Events did a masterful job coordinating the schedule and Wild Horse Catering prepared an Italian dinner Friday and a traditional Indian dinner Saturday. Stay tuned for a slide show of their wedding weekend soon! - Sean

Manishi and Ro's Indian Wedding

It's January and cold in Colorado so I decided to revisit an Indian wedding I photographed in Houston with photographer Joanna Pinneo. Manishi and Ro were married at the Woodlands Resort. It was a beautiful affair between a princess and her prince. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to sit back and photograph quietly. I was responsible for Ro's side of the family the day before and as he prepared for the wedding. And I've compiled a brief slide show of moments from their rehearsal and their wedding day. Click here to view it. Please note that the slide show will end at Joanna's new blog. Be sure to bookmark her blog as I know it will grow into something both inspirational and amazing. Thanks Manishi and Ro and thanks Joanna for inviting me along! — Sean

Nisha and Rupesh's Indian Wedding

The last two weekends have been crazy. I've just returned from a wedding in Houston (which was fabulous.) But I wanted to catch up first with another great wedding at the Marriott in south Denver on Sunday, Oct. 28 2007. It was the day the Rockies lost the world series and I was glad I was able to miss that game. I worked as the second photographer for my friend Joanna B. Pinneo. Couples commission her to photograph their weddings in a documentary fashion. There's very little that isn't photographed as it happens. I was responsible for the groom's side of the story. Documentary photography is my first love and it's how I learned the craft. Click here to see a brief slideshow of Nisha and Rupesh's Indian Wedding. The slideshow will drop you off at Joanna's web site. While you're there, take some time to view her work. And thanks again Joanna, it's always a pleasure working with you! — Sean

Andrea & Shivam's India wedding

Andrea and Shivam were first married in Pueblo, CO on Aug. 11. I photographed their wedding and wrote about it here. One month later they had a second wedding in India! Over 1000 invitations were sent out! Here are a couple of photos from their Indian wedding. I would love to photograph in India but as much as I tried I couldn't fit
in their suitcase. Congratulations again you two and thanks for letting me share pictures from your trip!

Gita and Nick's Keystone Wedding

An earlier post gave a sneak peak of Gita and Nick's wedding at the Ranch at Keystone Resort. They were married on 7.7.07, a day that saw a record number of weddings. Theirs was especially lucky, since Gita and Nick celebrated their wedding day with two ceremonies, one Hindu and one Christian. They also made a weekend out of their wedding with scheduled events, including an Indian dance party Thursday night. Their wedding was the perfect blend of both families' cultural traditions. Click here to see a brief slideshow of their wedding including the dance party and an incredible rehearsal dinner at the Keystone Stables. Thanks so much Gita and Nick for inviting me to photograph your wedding! — Sean

Gita and Nick on 7/7/07 (A Sneak Peek)

The weekend of July 7, 2007 was a big one for me and Cathy! We saved a spot on our calendar for a wonderful couple, Gita and Nick from Atlanta and bound for Seattle. Nick grew up skiing in the winter at Keystone and golfing in the summer at Keystone Ranch. During one of their get-away trips to Keystone, Gita and Nick decided it would be the perfect location for their wedding. Theirs was no ordinary wedding. Nick and Gita planned an elaborate four-day affair for their family and friends that included both Indian and Western traditions. It also involved two ceremonies on their wedding day. Gita and Nick were married in a Hindu and a Christian ceremony. Did I mention they had a great time? Well they did! Thanks Nick and Gita for inviting Cathy and I to photograph your wedding weekend! Have fun on your African safari and I hope you thoroughly enjoy Paris! Send me pictures:) – Sean

Rehearsal Dinner - Garden of the Gods Club

I promised earlier to post some photographs from Jennifer and Mathew's wedding. Friday, the day before their wedding at the Broadmoor Hotel, Jennifer and Mathew held a rehearsal dinner at the Garden of the Gods Club. Mathew's family is from India and the rehearsal dinner was in keeping with Indian traditions. Jennifer wore a beautiful red Saree and Mathew wore a gold embroidered tunic to match. They made for a very handsome couple. At sunset they enjoyed Mango martinis outside on the lawn with their guests. Tomorrow I will show some wedding day images. — Sean
