Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy Wedding

Angie and Chris were married at the Air Force Academy Chapel Friday, October 16, 2009. Their reception was held at Dootlittle Hall on the Academy grounds. I posted a sneak peak of their wedding here. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie helped Angie and Chris plan their destination wedding and Jean-Marie Floral Designs did an incredible job with Angie's bouquet. Angie and Chris wanted to make sure the mountains were well represented in their portfolio, so they decided to see each other before their ceremony. During a private moment at the Garden of the Gods I made this wonderful image (above). I had a wonderful time photographing Angie and Chris' Air Force Academy wedding. Click here to see a brief slideshow of their wedding. Thank you Angie and Chris for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! — Sean

Ann and Jim's New Year's Eve Broadmoor Wedding

Ann and Jim were married at the Broadmoor Hotel on New Year's Eve. They had a beautiful ceremony in the Lake Terrace Fountain Room and a reception in the ballroom. Maggie Moran of Celebrations by Maggie helped them plan a three-day affair at the Broadmoor that included relaxing at the spa, skeet shooting for the guys and a bridal tea for the girls. It also included a fantastic rehearsal dinner at the Cheyenne Lodge and a New Year's day brunch at the golf club's Ross Room. Jean Marie of Jean Marie Designs did an incredible job with the flowers and decor. Ann and Jim's wedding is one of the highlights of my year and it happened right at the end. Ann and Jim both have children and it was fun to see all of the kids at the wedding really enjoying themselves, even if they didn't all stay up for midnight:) Click here to see a slide show of Ann and Jim's wedding day. And thank you Ann and Jim. It was a priviledge to be a part of your New Year's Eve wedding! — Sean

Food, Fun and Friends at Jean-Marie Designs

When you're husband says…"I'll put the kids to bed, you go to the party," you don't ask any questions. That's exactly what happened last night when Jean-Marie of Jean-Marie Designs held her annual Christmas party. It's guaranteed to be a great time and normally I'm guaranteed an early trip home for bedtime with the kids:) At top is a photo of the hostess with the mostest Jean-Marie, left, with her husband Teever and Trisha Kamppila from Tuxedo Junction.Other guests clockwise from upper left include: 1) Lindsay of the Broadmoor, middle, with boyfriend Mike and Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie, 2)Debbie of the Broadmoor with husband Mark 3)Denise of the Broadmoor and Chip of Chip and Wendy 4) Ann of Ann and Todd (who were married a year ago December 2007 in a beautiful winter wedding at Pauline Chapel that Sean photographed), in the middle, with Meghan McFarland, formerly of the Garden of the Gods Club, and now at the Denver Aquarium) and Meghan's mother Peggy. Now if I can only get Sean to volunteer so selflessly for every Christmas party this year… — Cathy

Dinah and Alex's Pauline Chapel Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Dinah and Alex's Pauline Chapel Wedding here. Dinah and Alex were married Saturday October 11, 2008. They held a small ceremony at the Pauline Chapel and celebrated with a private dinner reception at the Broadmoor's Penrose Room. In planning her wedding, Dinah placed a premium on photography. I love this shot of Dinah and Alex at the altar steps. To make this dramatic picture, Dinah's brother John (a budding photojournalist who knows more about cameras than I do:) helped me by holding a remote flash. Thank you John! That evening the fog rolled in and before I left I made this moody shot of the Broadmoor. Click here to see a brief slideshow of their wedding day and a big thanks to Dinah and Alex and their pooches:) for inviting me to photograph their wedding! — Sean

Meredith and Chris' Garden of the Gods Club Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Meredith and Chris' wedding here. They were married Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Garden of the Gods Club. Chris and Meredith are truly a match made in heaven. The proof was on display at their reception - a chance picture of them at a children's activity when they were three-years-old. Meredith and Chris started going together in high school. Meredith grew up just down the street from me. It was a treat to be able to photograph their wedding. While the weather didn't give us the sunshine we were hoping for, it was still very pleasant. I love this shot (above) of Meredith and Chris kissing passionately. In the evening, the sky cleared enough for me tomake this picture of a moonlit evening at the club. Click here to see a brief slide show of their wedding and thank you Meredith and Chris for inviting me to photograph your wedding day! — Sean

Susan and David's Broadmoor Wedding

You may remember the sneak peak I posted of Susan and David's Broadmoor wedding here. They were married on the South Terrace on Sunday, August 31. Rain interrupted their ceremony and it made for great photo opportunities! Without the rain, I never would have captured the moment of Susan's brother holding the umbrella to protect her from the rain. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie made sure no detail of their destination wedding was overlooked and the flowers by Jean-Marie were stunning. I love Susan's bouquet! After the ceremony, Susan and David and their guests enjoyed cocktails under the covered patio next to the ceremony site and then dinner and dancing in the Utah Room. Kelly and Louis' Broadmoor Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Kelly and Louis were married Saturday morning at the Broadmoor Hotel. Their ceremony was held out on the west lawn with a view of Cheyenne Mountain. A lunch reception in the Penrose Room at the top of the Broadmoor's South Tower followed the ceremony. The Penrose Room not only offers incredible views of the mountains and the city, the menu and service is world-class. It was named a Five Diamond Restaurant for 2008, making it the only restaurant in Colorado to earn the distinction. The format of a wedding in the morning followed by an early afternoon reception really is enjoyable. Everyone was still fresh at the end of the day and we had a fantastic time doing some post-reception portraits around the grounds. Stay tuned for a slide show of Kelly and Louis' wedding soon! — Sean
