Jeannie and Mark's Ultimate Wedding Book

I photographed Jeannie and Mark's wedding at the Broadmoor last summer and they decided on an Ultimate Wedding Book for their images. It arrived in the mail yesterday and I can't believe how it turned out. It's absolutely gorgeous! Jeannie and Mark's Ultimate Wedding Book has a brushed metal cover that is both understated and contemporary. Once you open it, the images pop off the page. A pleasing mix of color black and white images runs throughout. The design of this book is very much meant to convey the story of their wedding day and it does it beautifully. The images are printed on a thick linen page and the book, with 80 pages, has a nice weight to it. Jeannie and Mark were married out on the West Lawn at the Broadmoor. It rained in the morning, but miraculously it cleared up for their ceremony! This book is a perfect fit for an exclusive wedding location like the Broadmoor. It shows it off wonderfully. A nice gift also comes with the Ultimate Wedding Book. The Italian manufacturer always includes a very cool commemorative calendar. I still have our calendar hanging up in our office. Jeannie and Mark's Garden of the Gods Engagement

I photographed Jeannie and Mark's Broadmoor wedding on Friday, August 29, you can see photos from their wedding here and here. On Thursday last week, I photographed their engagement photos…after the wedding! We had planned to do the engagement photos before the wedding but had to reschedule and then couldn't find a time that worked for the both of us. Still, we had a lot of fun! We started at the Rock Ledge Ranch, then arrived at the Garden of the Gods just in time to catch this dramatic sunset! — Cathy

Jeannie and Mark's Broadmoor Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Jeannie and Mark's wedding here. They were married on Saturday, August 29, 2008 on the West Lawn of the Broadmoor Hotel. It started to rain pretty hard when Jeannie was putting her wedding dress on and she huddled with several of her bridesmaids. "Lord, please give us a rainbow," she said. Then Jeannie met Mark for a private moment in the Lakeside Suites and we waited for the rain to clear. But it continued. So we photographed them inside the hotel. (I love this shot of them kissing in the hallway.) Afterwards we chanced it and headed for the west lawn, stopping on the bridge for a quick picture. When we arrived it was still wet so we did their family photographs inside. Just as we finished, the skies cleared and Jeannie's prayer was answered. A rainbow arched over the south tower of the hotel. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie and the staff at the Broadmoor quickly set up the ceremony site, wiped thechairs and seated the guests. Jeannie and Mark's Broadmoor Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

On Friday I photographed Jeannie and Mark wedding outside on the West Lawn at the Broadmoor Hotel. This was my first wedding of the summer with rain. The rain threatened to move the ceremony indoors, but Jeannie couldn't imagine her wedding inside. So she we waited. Maggie of Celebrations by Maggie kept a close eye on doppler radar and when there was a break, Jeannie and Mark went for it. It was perfect. The ceremony went off without a hitch and the string quartet played on. Thanks Jeannie and Mark for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day.
