Gita and Nick's Keystone Wedding

An earlier post gave a sneak peak of Gita and Nick's wedding at the Ranch at Keystone Resort. They were married on 7.7.07, a day that saw a record number of weddings. Theirs was especially lucky, since Gita and Nick celebrated their wedding day with two ceremonies, one Hindu and one Christian. They also made a weekend out of their wedding with scheduled events, including an Indian dance party Thursday night. Their wedding was the perfect blend of both families' cultural traditions. Click here to see a brief slideshow of their wedding including the dance party and an incredible rehearsal dinner at the Keystone Stables. Thanks so much Gita and Nick for inviting me to photograph your wedding! — Sean

Gita and Nick on 7/7/07 (A Sneak Peek)

The weekend of July 7, 2007 was a big one for me and Cathy! We saved a spot on our calendar for a wonderful couple, Gita and Nick from Atlanta and bound for Seattle. Nick grew up skiing in the winter at Keystone and golfing in the summer at Keystone Ranch. During one of their get-away trips to Keystone, Gita and Nick decided it would be the perfect location for their wedding. Theirs was no ordinary wedding. Nick and Gita planned an elaborate four-day affair for their family and friends that included both Indian and Western traditions. It also involved two ceremonies on their wedding day. Gita and Nick were married in a Hindu and a Christian ceremony. Did I mention they had a great time? Well they did! Thanks Nick and Gita for inviting Cathy and I to photograph your wedding weekend! Have fun on your African safari and I hope you thoroughly enjoy Paris! Send me pictures:) – Sean

Wendy and Carter's Keystone Wedding

We've been up in the mountains for the past couple of weeks so it was interesting to photograph Keystone the weekend after Cathy photographed Rachel and Matt's wedding at the Ranch. This time it was as a second photographer for Travis Broxton. I mentioned earlier that Travis travels quite a bit into the mountains. He's a Denver-based photographer and I make it a point every summer to shoot with him at least once. Travis will help me out later this year for one of my weddings. I'm really excited about that! It's super fun to photograph a wedding and try to tackle it visually in a different fashion. I spent a lot time quietly photographing Wendy and Carter's wedding at the Ranch trying to be still with my camera and t0 let things unfold around me. Click here to see a brief slideshow from their wedding. Also, if you view the slideshow, it will drop you off at Travis' website. Take a look around. He's a wonderful photographer and a great person! — Sean

Rachel and Matt's Keystone Wedding

Rachel and Matt had the perfect Colorado mountain wedding. They were married in an afternoon ceremony under a beautiful Colorado sky at the Ranch at Keystone Resort. They both agreed: photos before the wedding so they could celebrate after! We arranged a private moment near the ceremony site which resulted in some fabulous photos of the two of them. Their ceremony followed and it was wonderfully intimate. At twilight the light was magnificent so we went back outside for a final portrait. Thank you to Rachel and Matt for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding. — Cathy
