Amelia and Austin's First Congregational Church Wedding

Amelia and Austin were married at the First Congregational Church on January 2, 2010. Their reception was held at the Phantom Canyon Brewery in downtown Colorado Springs. I posted a sneak peek of their wedding here. Our associate photographer Brienne photographed our first wedding of 2010. Brienne did a great job capturing Amelia and Austin's wedding day. Amelia and Austin decided to see each other before the wedding and Brienne made this cute picture of the moment(above). Click here to see a slide show of Amelia and Austin's wedding day. Amelia and Austin's First Congregational Church Wedding (Sneak Peek)

Amelia and Austin were married Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the First Congregational Church. This was our first wedding of 2010 and our associate Brienne photographed the wedding. Amelia and Austin decided to see each other before the wedding and traveled to the Garden of the Gods to make some portraits. Despite inclement weather Amelia and Austin looked like they had great fun with Brienne. After their wedding Amelia and Austin celebrated with a reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery. The brewery's third floor banquet hall with views of downtown and the mountains is a great little secret in Colorado Springs. Tara and Aaron's Colorado Springs Wedding (Sneak Peek)

Tara and Aaron were married on Friday, Sept. 4 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Brienne photographed their wedding and the pictures look really great! Tara and Aaron were on the fence about seeing each other before their wedding, but they didn't want to miss any of their reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery. After deciding to do it they were thrilled. The private moment turned in a fantastic portrait session on the town (I love this shot Brienne made of Tara and Aaron and the train.) They were also able to have a relaxed family session at the church and still catch of all the events at their reception. If you're considering a wedding here in town, there has to be no better reception spot that Phantom Canyon Brewery. It has a great views and incredible food. Stay tuned for a slide show of Tara and Aaron's Colorado Springs wedding soon! — Sean

Aimee and Brian's Air Force Academy Chapel wedding (a sneak peek)

Aimee and Brian were married Friday, May 15 at the Air Force Academy Chapel and celebrated with a reception at Phantom Canyon Brewery. Aimee and Brian are both in the Air Force, and since Aimee works at the Academy (and she has the access!) we were able to walk to Terrazzo and photograph everyone on Spirit Hill. Aimee planned to have a lot of time for photos at the chapel and Garden of the Gods. This was my first AFA Chapel wedding of the year and it was a blast! I just love to photograph there. The wind was blowing and the sun was shining… a perfect day for a wedding! Keep watch for a slide show from their wedding coming soon! —Cathy

Stephanie and Jeff's Shove Chapel Wedding

Stephanie and Jeff were married Saturday, February 7 at Shove Chapel on the Colorado College Campus followed by a reception on the third floor at Phantom Canyon Brewery. I've been excited for their wedding for months. We had such a great engagement session with them in October, so I knew the wedding would be a blast. We planned to photograph in a lot of different settings…the hotel, overlooking the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak and in and around the church. I was glad we had made the time for those photos. But I'm also glad Stephanie told me to watch for Jeff's smile. She said, 'I love his smile'. After following the two of them through their wedding day, I found the smile she was talking about. Thank you Stephanie and Jeff for allowing me to capture all the special moments of your wedding, there were many! Click here to see a slide show of their day. — Cathy

Stephanie and Jeff's Shove Chapel wedding (A sneak peak)

You may remember Stephanie and Jeff from their engagement session last fall. Stephanie and Jeff were married Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Shove Chapel on the campus of Colorado College. They held an evening reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery. I had great time photographing their wedding day. It started at the Antlers Hilton where they saw each other for the first time followed by a photo session at the Mesa overlook with views of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. I love this portrait of Stephanie in the doorway Shove Chapel. Their kiss at the end of their wedding had such emotion! By they way, the banquet hall on the third floor of Phantom Canyon is such a great location for a wedding reception any time of year. Stephanie's flower girls thoroughly enjoyed it, dancing on the hard wood and hamming it up for the camera. Thank you Stephanie and Jeff for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day. Keep an eye out for a slide show of their wedding soon! — Cathy

Heather and Dustin's Coffee Table Book

Heather and Dustin's coffee table book arrived yesterday and it looks great. I love the cover of the book showing them in front of Pikes Peak! And I love the black slipcover with silver letter press. It looks smashing and it's a nice change from the red slipcover we usually order.Heather and Dustin's coffee table book is 20 pages and chock full of photographs. Marianne did a great job designing their book. I can't wait for them to see it! Also, just a reminder to couples from the beginning of the year, we are fast approaching our holiday deadline for book orders. Please call or e-mail if you have any questions about ordering your wedding book! — Sean

Heather and Dustin's Shove Chapel Wedding

I posted a sneak peak of Heather and Dustin's wedding here. I missed Heather and Dustin's first wedding. Except for Judge Patterson most of Heather and Dustin's friends and family missed their first wedding too. That's because while Dustin was serving in Iraq and Heather was training for a marathon they decided to get married by proxy (think really long distance). And so the formality of their wedding was taken care of long before Dustin returned to help plan a real, honest-to-goodness wedding at Shove Chapel and reception at Phantom Canyon Brewery. This time we were all there to enjoy it. We had a fabulous day to work with and Heather and Dustin saw each other before the wedding to take advantage of the daylight. Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding and thanks Heather and Dustin. The second time around was definitely better than the first! — Sean

Heather and Dustin's Shove Chapel Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Heather and Dustin were married last Saturday at Shove Chapel. They decided on an evening wedding and saw each other beforehand to take advantage of what turned out to be a beautiful Colorado afternoon in February. Heather, who is an elite runner, loves the Garden of the Gods. She trains there often. So we photographed Heather running in her wedding dress with her dogs (more to come:) and did a nice portrait session with her and Dustin. While we were at the Garden shooting another gentlemen was proposing to his girlfriend. The portrait above shows Heather and Dustin and below them (but much smaller) is the couple in the midst of their proposal. She said Yes! I managed to get a few frames just of them. And I left a business card on their windshield. If you're reading this, send me an e-mail and I will send you some photographs! Heather and Dustin celebrated that evening at the Phantom Canyon Brewery's banquet hall, which is always fantastic. Watch for a slideshow of their wedding soon! — Sean

Cindy and Dave's Fine Art Wedding Book

I got an e-mail from Dave. He wanted to order a Fine Art Wedding Book for his wife Cindy. Dave is a pilot stationed in Iraq so he thought this would be a nice gift for his sweetheart on Valentine's Day. And what a beautiful book! They picked a chocolate leather for the cover and a cream mat with a chocolate keyline mat around the images.Cindy and Dave have a great story. They were married in a small ceremony outside the courthouse in October of 2005. They hosteda nice reception for friends at the Phantom Canyon Brewery in February of 2006 (about the time this blog was born). Their reception included a re-enactment of their ceremony that was too cute. I know they will both enjoy their new Fine Art Wedding Book. And I'm really glad we could get it to them in time for Valentine's Day. — Sean

Jessica and Patrick's Wedding

You may have seen my recent sneak peek post with a couple of photos from Jessica and Patrick's wedding. They were married July 14 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. They celebrated with family and friends at Phantom Canyon Brewery downtown. I love photographing in Phantom's banquet hall. It's on the third floor with views of the city. The food is incredible. And Phantom Canyon is well known for its great beer. Right now Jessica and Patrick are stationed in Germany where beer drinking is an art form. Their reception wasn't complete without a rousing German drinking song! Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding day. And thank you Jessica and Patrick for inviting me to photograph your wedding! — Cathy

Jessica and Patrick's Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Jessica and Patrick were married Saturday, July 14 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with a downtown reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery. They planned their wedding long distance, very long distance…all the way from Germany where they were stationed. That Saturday was super-windy at the church, but it made for some interesting photos of Jessica while we waited for the ceremony to start. If you've spent any time downtown on Pikes Peak Ave. you may have seen the HUGE red Mozart mural… that's where I took this dramatic photo of the two of them! — Cathy
