Carrie and Derm's Coffee Table Book

Carrie and Derm's coffee table book arrived in the mail. Their wedding was the first one we've photographed at The Club at Flying Horseand the book really shows it off. Carrie and Derm decided on a 20-page 10 x 10 book. Carrie and Derm selected a lot of pictures. I think we wereable to design a book that still offered space for the pictures. The book comes with a black slip cover. We carry the slip covers intwo colors, black and red. Right now the black slip cover is growing on me:) I can't wait for them to see it! — Sean

Bonnie and Erin's wedding on newsstands now!

Bonnie and Erin's wedding is featured in the Fall/Winter 2008 edition of Brides Colorado. Bonnie and Erin were married last February in a magical winter setting at Keystone's Ski Tip Lodge. The editors at Brides Colorado loved their winter wedding and it's easy to see why.It was an intimate destination for close family and friends. Small weddings seem to be on the rise. Couples like Bonnie and Erin are looking for more meaningful moments with their guests. As an added benefit smaller weddings mean they are able to afford better locations, better food and better photography:) The setting was perfect. Keystone had a banner snow year and that day the Ski Tip Lodge was blanketed in new snow. Be sure to pick up a copy of Brides Colorado on newsstands now! — Sean

Jaimie and Todd's Denver Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Jaimie and Todd's wedding here. Jaimie and Todd were married Saturday August 2, 2008 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Jaimie and Todd started their day in downtown Denver at the Oxford Hotel. They decided to see each other before the wedding and do all of their family photographs. When Jaimie first contacted me she placed an emphasis on moments, not poses. I was thrilled. I love this moment (below) of Nathaniel and his mom as they are walking to the wedding. It was unexpected, funny and downright precious. Jaimie and Todd's reception was held inside the museum. Later Jaime and Todd got to enjoy the sunset outside on the museum roof. Click here to see a slide show of Jaimie and Todd's wedding. Thanks Jaimie and Todd for inviting me to be a part of your day! – Sean

Anne and Ben's Keystone Ranch Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

On Saturday I photographed Anne and Ben's Keystone Ranch wedding. Anne and Ben planned a destination mountain wedding at the Ranch. Emily of Bella Design and Planning did a superb job assisting them in their planning. Anne and Ben and their guests were lucky enough to escape the rain (albeit briefly) to enjoy their wedding ceremony outside with an incredible Rocky Mountain backdrop. Dina and Stacy of The Petal and Bean in Breckenridge did a wonderful job with the ornate arch for the ceremony. After the wedding Anne and Ben hosted a reception for their guests inside. The reception included a fabulous desert table courtesy of Keystone's own Executive Pastry Chef Ned Archibald. A dance tent with lighting by Pink Monkey was also set up outside. Stay tuned for a slide show of Anne and Ben's Keystone Ranch wedding soon and thanks Anne and Ben for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day! – Sean

Jaimie and Todd's Denver Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

I photographed Jaimie and Todd's wedding on Saturday at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I mentioned earlier we are experiencing a heat wave, but fortunately we got a break. An overcast afternoon provided relief from the sun and left everyone relatively comfortable during their outdoor ceremony. Jaimie and Todd started their day at the Oxford Hotel downtown. The Oxford is next to Union Station and is the oldest hotel in Denver. Jaimie and Todd's reception was held inside the museum atrium. Newly renovated, it offers a wonderful space for a reception. Lauren and Nathan share a passion for the Colorado outdoors and there's nothing more Colorado than Pikes Peak as a backdrop! Lauren and Nathan, with planning help from Melissa of Moonriver Weddings and Events, also decided to see each other before their wedding. We photographed both families beforehand and that gave Lauren and Nathan extra time to spend with their guests after the wedding. I'm super glad for it! I wouldn't have caught the gem below, one of the guests congratulating Lauren, if they had opted for family photographs after the ceremony. A lunch reception in the Penrose Room at the top of the Broadmoor's South Tower followed the ceremony. The Penrose Room not only offers incredible views of the mountains and the city, the menu and service is world-class. It was named a Five Diamond Restaurant for 2008, making it the only restaurant in Colorado to earn the distinction. The format of a wedding in the morning followed by an early afternoon reception really is enjoyable. Heather and Dale's Engagement Sitting

I photographed Heather and Dale's engagement sitting yesterday afternoon. Heather and Dale are planning a fall wedding at the Broadmoor. Shannon and Peter's Air Force Academy Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

I photographed Shannon and Peter's wedding Saturday at the Air Force Academy. It's hard to imagine that your wedding day can hinge on a hook. But that's what happened yesterday for Shannon when the hook on her dress broke. Still, Shannon made it to the church on time and found a needle and thread that saved the day. Shannon and Peter celebrated with an evening reception at the Garden of the Gods Club for their close family and friends. Despite the dress mishap (which made for a wonderful picture and an unforgettable memory:) Shannon and Peter had a fantastic wedding. Stay tuned for a slide show of their wedding day soon. Sarah and Brad's Durango Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Sarah and Brad's wedding here. Sarah and Brad were married last Saturday in Durango. After their ceremony high above the Florida River Valley they celebrated with a reception at the Strater Hotel in downtown Durango. Sarah and Brad's wedding was a Colorado wedding family style. Sarah's grandparents hosted the ceremony at their home where Sarah spent a lot of time growing up. Sarah and Brad also share a love for the mountains and for trucks that can handle the mountains. Hence, an unusual feature at the wedding was a family of old Land Rovers that Sarah's Uncle and Grandfather tinker with. Brad has his own mountain ride, an International Scout which they rode to the reception. I've known Brad since before I was a photographer and I enjoyed seeing many of our old friends at the wedding. I also enjoyed getting to know Sarah and her family. Click here to see a brief slide show of their wedding and thanks Sarah and Brad, it was a pleasure to be a part of your wedding day! — Sean
