Erin and Justin's Coffee Table Book

We just received Erin and Justin's Coffee Table Book and it looks great. Erin and Justin decided on a 30-page coffee table book for their wedding photographs. The coffee table book comes with a black slip cover, laminated linen pages and book jacket. Brienne, our associate, photographed Erin and Justin's wedding Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Shove Chapel on the campus of Colorado College. Shove is a wonderful place to be married. It's dramatic architecture makes it one of the prettiest churches inside and out in Colorado Springs. Erin and Justin hosted a receptionat the Cheyenne Mountain Country Club on Lake Avenue. Click here to see their wedding day slide show. I can't wait for Erin and Justin to see the coffee table book! — Sean

Erin and Austin's Shove Chapel Wedding

Erin and Austin were married Saturday, Aug. 15 at Shove Chapel on the Colorado College campus with a reception at the Fine Arts Center. I posted a sneak peek of their wedding here. Photos were important to them so we planned extra time before their ceremony for pictures with their wedding party. We started at the Broadmoor and then we shot in an alley downtown. We also made some dramatic bridal portraits of Erin in Shove Chapel. Liz of Ambience Florals did an incredible job with their flowers as well as their reception decor. The dining room was decorated with columns of limes in water, a perfect accent to the modern white space of the newly renovated FAC. Here's a photograph of Cathy at work during Erin and Austin's wedding. She quietly slipped into a doorway at Shove Chapel to get a shot of Erin and Austin's communion at the altar. Cathy just finished a four-week marathon photographing five weddings... She never ceases to amaze me! — Sean

Stephanie and Jeff's Coffee Table Book

Stephanie and Jeff's coffee table book arrived over the weekend and I was thrilled with how it turned out. Stephanie and Jeff were married at Shove Chapel in February. They really jumped at picking pictures for their coffee table bookand we jumped at getting them a design to look at. Their coffee book was created in record time:) I loved theirwedding day. We had great weather and we were able to photograph Stephanie and Jeff and their wedding party with Pikes Peak as a backdrop. Their wedding at Shove Chapel was really beautiful as well. There isn't a chapel in Colorado Springs quite like Shove. Stephanie and Jeff decided to add more pages to their book to accommodate their image selection. We were able to create pages that were pleasing to the eye and that told their story. If you didn't get a chance to see their wedding slide show click here. I can't wait for Stephanie and Jeff to pick up their book! — Cathy

Stephanie and Jeff's Shove Chapel Wedding

Stephanie and Jeff were married Saturday, February 7 at Shove Chapel on the Colorado College Campus followed by a reception on the third floor at Phantom Canyon Brewery. I've been excited for their wedding for months. We had such a great engagement session with them in October, so I knew the wedding would be a blast. We planned to photograph in a lot of different settings…the hotel, overlooking the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak and in and around the church. I was glad we had made the time for those photos. But I'm also glad Stephanie told me to watch for Jeff's smile. She said, 'I love his smile'. After following the two of them through their wedding day, I found the smile she was talking about. Thank you Stephanie and Jeff for allowing me to capture all the special moments of your wedding, there were many! Click here to see a slide show of their day. — Cathy

Stephanie and Jeff's Shove Chapel wedding (A sneak peak)

You may remember Stephanie and Jeff from their engagement session last fall. Stephanie and Jeff were married Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Shove Chapel on the campus of Colorado College. They held an evening reception at the Phantom Canyon Brewery. I had great time photographing their wedding day. It started at the Antlers Hilton where they saw each other for the first time followed by a photo session at the Mesa overlook with views of the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. I love this portrait of Stephanie in the doorway Shove Chapel. Their kiss at the end of their wedding had such emotion! By they way, the banquet hall on the third floor of Phantom Canyon is such a great location for a wedding reception any time of year. Stephanie's flower girls thoroughly enjoyed it, dancing on the hard wood and hamming it up for the camera. Thank you Stephanie and Jeff for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day. Keep an eye out for a slide show of their wedding soon! — Cathy

Anna and Dan's Fine Art Wedding Book

Anna and Dan's Fine Art Wedding Books are finished and we're thrilled! Anna and Dan were married in February at Shove Chapel. They decided early on that the Fine Art Wedding Book was their album of choice. We've been diligently working with them to make this incredible three volume set of books, one 12x12 master for them and two 8x8 companion albums for each set of parents. All of the books have 38 pages. The cover material is Crespi, a beautiful leather that really shows well. Anna and Dan also chose to display their pictures using a grayoverlay mat with a white key line mat. The process of putting these books together is labor intensive. We design the book digitally, print the images and then assemble the book by hand here in our studio. I love putting together books like this. They are are made in the old tradition and with classic style. I cannot wait for Anna and Dan to see them! — Sean

Heather and Dustin's Shove Chapel Wedding

I posted a sneak peak of Heather and Dustin's wedding here. I missed Heather and Dustin's first wedding. Except for Judge Patterson most of Heather and Dustin's friends and family missed their first wedding too. That's because while Dustin was serving in Iraq and Heather was training for a marathon they decided to get married by proxy (think really long distance). And so the formality of their wedding was taken care of long before Dustin returned to help plan a real, honest-to-goodness wedding at Shove Chapel and reception at Phantom Canyon Brewery. This time we were all there to enjoy it. We had a fabulous day to work with and Heather and Dustin saw each other before the wedding to take advantage of the daylight. Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding and thanks Heather and Dustin. The second time around was definitely better than the first! — Sean

Heather and Dustin's Shove Chapel Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Heather and Dustin were married last Saturday at Shove Chapel. They decided on an evening wedding and saw each other beforehand to take advantage of what turned out to be a beautiful Colorado afternoon in February. Heather, who is an elite runner, loves the Garden of the Gods. She trains there often. So we photographed Heather running in her wedding dress with her dogs (more to come:) and did a nice portrait session with her and Dustin. While we were at the Garden shooting another gentlemen was proposing to his girlfriend. The portrait above shows Heather and Dustin and below them (but much smaller) is the couple in the midst of their proposal. She said Yes! I managed to get a few frames just of them. And I left a business card on their windshield. If you're reading this, send me an e-mail and I will send you some photographs! Heather and Dustin celebrated that evening at the Phantom Canyon Brewery's banquet hall, which is always fantastic. Watch for a slideshow of their wedding soon! — Sean

Anna and Dan's Shove Chapel Wedding

Anna and Dan were married at Shove Chapel two weekends ago. I posted a sneak peek of their wedding here. Anna and Dan were like a couple straight out of the movies. I was excited when they told me they would see each other before the wedding and do all of their wedding party and family photographs. That gave them time to enjoy a ride with Lyle in his Buick and visit the Garden of the Gods at sunset. Carolyn and Colleen of Classic Designs did a fantastic job helping Anna plan the wedding and Liz Ash of Ambience Florals created some spectacular bouquets for Anna and her bridesmaids. After the Garden of the Gods, Lyle brought Anna and Dan to their reception at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Click here to see a brief slideshow from their wedding and thank you Anna and Dan for inviting me to be a part of your incredible day! — Sean
