Louisa and Brendan's Fine Art Weddings Books

We just finished Louisa and Brendan's Fine Art Wedding Books and are getting ready to send them out. I've posted some still images here and I've attempted to talk about their wedding books in this video post. (I still have to learn how to do this without stumbling...:) By the way, the cover material of their Fine Art Wedding Book is called rose gold silk. It was a perfect match for Louisa and Brendan's wedding colors. Louisa and Brendan were married Saturday, July 25, 2009 in Albany, Texas. Beside the wedding I photographed their rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, a luncheon, and a little pool time. Louisa and Brendan selected pictures for their album from all of these events so we created a design that included chapters from their wedding weekend. The book itself is both contemporary and traditional in its presentation. By contemporary I mean that it's a custom design created digitally by us and then sent to the manufacturer in New Zealand. By traditional, I mean the images are presented in an acid free archival mat. In this case, Louisa and Brendan decided on a white mist mat color (it doesn't look white in the video, but it is) and a black keyline that borders each image in their book. See our new studio space and new work in this video tour

Here's a video post I did today of our newly renovated studio space. We also are hanging brand new work and new types of picture displays. (Don't ask me how many takes we did. Our little giggler (part 2)

From this summer, Momma makes Abby laugh. My sister Cathryn sticks her head in about halfway through. I'm traveling this week and just hearing her laugh reminds me of home. — Sean

Harper is teething bad. He has a little flap of skin just barely covering one of the big teeth on the top. I bet it's going to push through in the next few days. Despite the discomfort that he must be feeling, he's in a surprisingly good mood. Check out this video of our little giggler… —Cathy

A concert for one

Uncle Albert has a beautiful home in New Hampshire's North Country. Inside his home sits a piano. He bought it for $500. We almost never get to hear Albert play the piano. He tells us he doesn't play for people because he doesn't want them to hear his mistakes. Sometimes though, when we're coming over for dinner, we can stand outside his house and hear him playing inside. It's magical. We often plead with him to play for us. This time he relented, with Abby asleep on the couch nearby. It was a small concert for one. I'm so glad I was able to record just a bit of what we usually pause in the woods of New Hampshire to listen to. — Sean

Congratulations Katharine and Eddie!

A couple of weeks ago my stepsister Katharine was married to Eddie in a very small, intimate ceremony at her mother's house. Katherine invited me to attend as guest and had arranged for photography. Emily and Billy's Hillside Gardens Wedding

Last night I downloaded the images from Emily and Billy's wedding at Hillside Gardens and I skimmed through them very quickly. So fast, in fact, that this series of images looked like one of those little flip books so I put it together like one.
