Angie and Chris' Washington DC Engagement Sitting

While in Washington, DC I also photographed Angie and Chris' engagement sitting on the National Mall. Angie and Chris are planning an October wedding at the Air Force Academy Chapel with a reception at Doolittle Hall. Chris is a graduate of the Air Force Academy currently stationed at the Pentagon. Both Angie and Chris wanted to have some pictures in DC since that is where they first met. We scheduled their sitting for sunset and started at the Jefferson Memorial. We were fortunate to get a pleasant evening without rain! Click here to see a slide show of Angie and Chris' Washington, DC engagement sitting. — Sean

Dharma and Andy's Engagement Sitting

I photographed Dharma and Andy's engagement sitting on the National Mall last weekend. Dharma and Andy are planning a fall wedding at a vineyard in Virginia. We had a great time together. It was especially fun because I've known Dharma since her sister Surya's wedding. Surya is now one of our associate photographers and is currently accepting wedding reservations for the 2009 season. Despite what was a chilly day, we kept moving to different spots along mall keeping ourselves warm in the process:) Click here to see a brief slide show of Dharma and Andy's engagement. And thanks you two, I had a great afternoon! — Sean

Dharma and Andy's engagement sitting (A Sneak Peek)

I've been a bit behind on the blog the past week. Cathy and I are in Washington DC through Wednesday visiting family. Yesterday I photographed Dharma and Andy on the mall. They're planning a wedding in Virginia this fall. We made some fantastic pictures. This is the World War I monument near the reflecting pool. It's a very quiet, out of the way place and I've always wanted to photograph there. Stay tuned for some more images of Dharma and Andy soon!

Xavi and Mark's National Cathedral Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Xavi and Mark's wedding here. Xavi and Mark were married in a morning ceremony at the National Cathedral and celebrated with a luncheon at 701 Restaurant downtown. Xavi and Mark found us when they were considering Colorado Springs as a destination wedding location. When Xavi contacted us about their wedding it all just seemed to gel. Abby's birthday was the day after so we could travel to see family, celebrate her birthday and photograph their wedding. The National Cathedral is a magical place, an architectural wonder with an incredible history. And even though a wedding in such a place might seem stuffy, it wasn't at all. It helped that Xavi and Mark's wedding party were easy going, laughed a lot and enjoyed each other's company. Cathy and I really enjoyed spending time with everyone. It was a fantastic day and I'm so happy with the photographs. Click here to see a brief slide show of Xavi and Mark's wedding day and thank you Xavi and Mark. We were honored to be a part of your wedding! — Sean

Xavi and Mark's National Cathedral Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

On Saturday we photographed Xavi and Mark's wedding at the National Cathedral. This was our first wedding at the National Cathedral and it was stunning! Mark is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and is working at the Pentagon. Xavi and Mark were considering Colorado Springs as a wedding destination, but they decided on the Cathedral for both its history and its memorial tribute to those who serve. Afterwards Xavi and Mark celebrated with a reception at the 701 Restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue directly across the street from the National Archives. Stay tuned for a slide show from their wedding soon! — Sean
