Bonnie and Erin's wedding on newsstands now!

Bonnie and Erin's wedding is featured in the Fall/Winter 2008 edition of Brides Colorado. Bonnie and Erin were married last March in a magical winter setting at Keystone's Ski Tip Lodge. The editors at Brides Colorado loved their winter wedding and it's easy to see why.It was an intimate destination for close family and friends. Small weddings seem to be on the rise. Couples like Bonnie and Erin are looking for more meaningful moments with their guests. As an added benefit smaller weddings mean they are able to afford better locations, better food and better photography:) The setting was perfect. Keystone had a banner snow year and that day the Ski Tip Lodge was blanketed in new snow. Be sure to pick up a copy of Brides Colorado on newsstands now! — Sean

Bonnie and Erin's Keystone Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Bonnie and Erin's wedding here. Bonnie and Erin were married at the Ski Tip Lodge at Keystone last Saturday. The lodge was kind of hard to find since there was so much snow around it. But that's a good thing if you're having a winter wedding at Keystone Resort:) Bonnie and Erin, with help from Denver's Sapphire Celebrations, planned — and perfectly executed, I might add — a destination wedding. About 40 of their family and friends traveled from Chicago. The Ski Tip Lodge, is just like it sounds, a quaint and beautiful old lodge that spends most of its time as a B&B operated by Keystone and some of its time as a wedding chateau complete with a chef that prepares the most exquisite gourmet meals. Click here to see a slide show of Bonnie and Erin's destination wedding and thanks Bonnie and Erin for inviting me to a photograph your wedding! — Sean

Bonnie and Erin's Keystone Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

Bonnie and Erin were married Saturday at the Ski Tip Lodge at Keystone Resort. Theirs was a destination wedding for 40 of their closest friends and family. Their passion is snowboarding and so it made perfect sense for this Chicago couple to be married at Keystone during one of the best snow years Colorado has seen in quite a while. Of course their wedding turned into their honeymoon and judging by the snow falling while they kissed underneath the arches outside the Ski Tip, the conditions couldn't be better. Stay tuned for a slide show of their wedding soon! — Sean

Thanks Kent!

My good friend Kent Meireis joined me on Saturday for Bonnie and Erin's wedding at the Ski Tip Lodge in Keystone. He photographed me waste deep in a snow bank as I framed a photo of Bonnie and Erin with their snowboards in the foreground. Kent is a wonderful photographer and has a fantastic blog that you can see here. He also has a brand new web site coming online in the next couple of days so keep an eye out for it here. To give you an idea of just how good he is, Kent is ranked 15th in the world by the WPJA and #1 in Colorado. Thanks again Kent for helping me and showing everyone the lengths I'll go to. Stay tuned for pictures from Bonnie and Erin's wedding later in the week! — Sean

Heather and Dustin's Shove Chapel Wedding

I posted a sneak peak of Heather and Dustin's wedding here. I missed Heather and Dustin's first wedding. Except for Judge Patterson most of Heather and Dustin's friends and family missed their first wedding too. That's because while Dustin was serving in Iraq and Heather was training for a marathon they decided to get married by proxy (think really long distance). And so the formality of their wedding was taken care of long before Dustin returned to help plan a real, honest-to-goodness wedding at Shove Chapel and reception at Phantom Canyon Brewery. This time we were all there to enjoy it. We had a fabulous day to work with and Heather and Dustin saw each other before the wedding to take advantage of the daylight. Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding and thanks Heather and Dustin. The second time around was definitely better than the first! — Sean

Brittany and Brandon's Air Force Academy Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Brittany and Brandon's wedding here. I couldn't have had a better couple to cap the year. Brandon courted Brittany when he was a cadet at the Air Force Academy. Now he's training to be a pilot. Theirs was a wintery wedding. Brittany arrived at the Chapel beforehand and saw Brandon outside in the Honor Court. The sun had dropped behind the mountains and a strong wind was blowing. Together they braved the elements. After the ceremony we made a dramatic portrait outside the chapel. The temperature had really dropped and no one needed to hold Brittany's veil. The wind did that:) But even then, Brittany and Brandon didn't bat an eye. Afterwards, I told Brittany that she is the bravest bride I've ever met! Click here to see a brief slide show of their day. Thanks so much Brittany and Brandon for inviting me to photograph your wedding! — Sean

Brittany and Brandon's Air Force Academy Wedding (A Sneak Peak)

Brittany and Brandon were married last Saturday at the Air Force Academy Chapel. They scheduled an early evening wedding at the Chapel and decided to see each other in the Honor Court before the wedding. A cold wind was blowing that day, so Brandon gave Brittany his coat while they waited near Harmon Hall for the wedding party to arrive. (We wanted to do a quick outside picture of everyone) Brittany and Brandon's reception was held at Doolittle Hall, a beautiful building operated by the Air Force Academy's association of graduates. Near the end of the reception, Brittany shared an emotional moment with her sister. Stay tuned for a slideshow of their wintery wedding day soon! — Sean

Ann and Todd's Pauline Chapel Wedding

Ann and Todd were married in a wonderfully intimate ceremony at Pauline Chapel on a snowy afternoon. I posted a sneak peek of their wedding pictures here. They celebrated afterwards with an evening reception at the Garden of the Gods Club. I loved how they did it. Ann is a professional planner and her expertise really showed. She decided to forgo a lot of the decor that's typical of most weddings. She figured (rightly so) that the holiday decorations at Pauline would be enough. To avoid being hurried, Ann and Todd decided to see each other before the wedding. I was super glad they did. The fresh snow made Ann and Todd's wedding day especially nice. We got to tromp around in the snow and Ann braved it nearly barefoot to make some fun photographs. Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding. Thanks Ann and Todd for inviting me to photograph your amazing day! — Sean

Leah and Ryan's Air Force Academy Wedding

I posted a sneak peek of Leah and Ryan's wedding here. We had incredible weather for a wedding in November and I was so happy to be able to photograph as much as we did outside. One thing that made Leah and Ryan's wedding so special is that they're both pilots. They love to fly. And after their reception at the Garden of the Gods Club I photographed them at sunset. I arranged for them to be in a spot that looks like they are standing in the sky. And they were instantly captured by the view; in their own world, oblivious to me. It was like they were flying, Ryan explained. It's what they see every time they're in the air. I left them alone to enjoy the fading sunset and I as I drove away I watched them embrace. I didn't need to take a picture. There are some moments between two people that are better left as they are. Click here to see a slideshow of their wedding day. Thanks Leah and Ryan, I enjoyed every minute! — Sean

Leah and Ryan's Air Force Academy Wedding (A Sneak Peek)

On Saturday I photographed Leah and Ryan's wedding at the Air Force Academy Chapel. They hosted an afternoon reception at the Garden of the Gods Club to celebrate their wedding. And then, to top it off, Leah and Ryan finished their wedding day with an incredible sunset portrait session at the Garden of the Gods. (I know what you're thinking. Yes, those colors are real:) The weather for a November wedding couldn't have been more perfect. It was an off-the-charts, gorgeous day. Stay tuned for a slideshow of their wedding. And thanks Leah and Ryan. It was wonderful to be a part of your wedding day! — Sean

Whitney and Greg were married Sat., Dec. 30 at the First Christian Church in downtown Colorado Springs. They were wed in a candle-lit, evening ceremony that featured the cutest flowergril and ringbearer ever, as well as some incredible music :) Afterwards, everyone traveled to the Inn at Palmer Divide for a wintery reception.
