Fly Fishing the North Platte

'If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.' — Doug Larson
I traveled with friends to Casper, Wyoming over the weekend to fly fish the North Platte River. Our mission: try and catch big Rainbows, plentiful below Alcova Reservoir. We camped for two nights and fished for three days and it was fantastic. All except for the part where I fell into the water, dunking myself, my point and shoot digital camera and losing a roll of film. The next day I caught the largest trout I've ever seen, much less hooked into. And guess what? No camera. Oh well. My friends were eyewitness to a Rainbow that was as long as my arm and almost as heavy. But I'm sure you've heard a story or two like that:) — Sean
